Come join the Los Alamitos Pop Warner Football and Cheer organization!

Los Alamitos Pop Warner Football & Cheer is a nonprofit organization that is part of the national Pop Warner Little Scholars organization. We offer flag football, flag cheerleading, tackle football and tackle cheerleading for youth ages 5-15. Tackle football eligibility is based on age/weight combinations set by Pop Warner Little Scholars. We are located in Los Alamitos, California.  Our home field is located at Los Alamitos High School, home of the Griffins! Our participants are not limited to Los Alamitos residents. There are no tryouts!  Participants are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis as space is available.

Los Alamitos Pop Warner Football & Cheer is one of many associations in the Orange Empire Conference.  OEC includes the following cities: Anaheim, Brea, Canyon Hills, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Hacienda/La Puente, Huntington Beach, La Habra, Lakewood, La Mirada, Montebello, Long Beach, Los Alamitos, North Long Beach, Saddleback Valley, Santa Ana, Santa Margarita, South Coast, Stanton, Tustin and Yorba Linda.

For the 2010 season, practices are expected to begin on August 2nd.  In the month of August, practices will be held 4 days a week, 2 1/2 hours each.  When games begin, practices go down to 3 days a week.  (days and times to be determined by the league).  Below are the divisions with the age and weight requirements (ages as of July 31st, weight as of certification- around Aug 15th - Aug 25th):

The Los Alamitos Pop Warner Football & Cheer Organization Objective

The purpose of the Los Alamitos Pop Warner Association is to organize, operate and encourage among youths of the towns of Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Seal Beach and portions of Long Beach an interest in recreational athletics in general, including cheerleading and in the sport of football in particular.  It is the purpose of the organization to advance the development of honesty, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance.  Los Alamitos Pop Warner also works to provide for the mutual assistance, enjoyment, entertainment and improvement of its members socially and physically.   The organization encourages them to participate in athletics, cheerleading and physical recreation in general and in the sport of football in particular and to do any and all things necessary and lawful for the accomplishment of these purposes.
